Didier RAMON, PhD, Physics, founder, Executive Director, Prospecting, Studies

Background
1995: PhD, stratospheric aerosols remote sensing via balloon borne (Univ.Lille I).
1995-1996: Post doctoral fellow at Service d'Aéronomie du CNRS
1996-1997: Reasearch assistant (Univ. Lille I)
1997-2001: Post doctoral fellow at Université du Littoral
Depuis 2001 : Founder, Executive Director and head of Earth Observation at HYGEOS

Qualifications

His research experience encompass aerosols and trace gases remote sensing from ground and space, associated to radiative transfer calculations and inverse methods development. He was in charge of the development of the aerosols inversion algorithm core above MERIS lands, including directional effects, and he's in charge of its validation since 2003. He also took part in MERIS calibration via in-flight spectral calibration of the tool, with the help of the oxygen channel. He's in charge of the level 2 PARASOL water color process development with little delay. He contributes to the development of an aerosol product on SEVIRI and he led the study for ALCATEL on the specifications for the future Sentinel 3 tool. He's also interested in the future asian missions GOCI (Korean geostationary satellite with a 500 m resolution) and GOSAT (japanese sounder for Greenhouse gases measurement) as well as remote sensing applied to air quality problems.

CV

Dominique JOLIVET, PhD, Physics, Prospecting, Studies

Background
1998: PhD, influence of cloud heterogeneity on solar radiation toward space with Monte-Carlo code (Univ. Lille I).
1999-2003: Research engineer at Meteorological Institu of Netherlands (KNMI).
Depuis 2004 : Research engineer at HYGEOS. Head of projects and studies.

Qualifications

His research experience encompass cloud remote sensing with the help of meteorological satellites. In particular, Dominique Jolivet took part in CLIWANET project, in the "Earth Care" mission, as well as in algorithms definition to restore optic layer, particles size and cloud phase for the SEVIRI tool embedded on MSG. He rejoined the HYGEOS company since april 2003 where he took charge of aerosol products validation from the MERIS tool as well as the adaptation of a Monte-Carlo type radiative transfer code for ocean color to spherical geometry. He's in charge of the development of an aerosol result for SEVIRI. He's in charge of the development of an aerosol product for SEVIRI.

CV

Roselyne LACAZE, PhD, Physics, Prospecting, Studies

Background
1999 : PhD, speciality « Remote Sensing and Physics of the Biosphere », University Toulouse III CNRM/Météo-France - Toulouse
1999-2002 : Post doctoral fellow at CNRM/Météo-France
2002-2005 : Research engineer at MEDIAS-France
depuis 2005 : Research engineer at HYGEOS, Head of studies and emerged lands project

Qualifications

Her experience relates to continental biosphere remote sensing and the calculation algorithms of continental surfaces biogeophysical variables as part of the POLDER (multi-angular sensor) and CYCLOPES (SPOT/VEGETATION sensor) projects. She's on a technical assistance mission at MEDIAS-France for the Service Center of the POSTEL thematic pole on continental surfaces where she coordinates the activities carried out as part of the European Commission GEOLAND 2 project, amongst other things.

François STEINMETZ, PhD, Physics, R&D

Background
2004 : Master's Degree at l'École Centrale de Lille
2008 : PhD at LOA - HYGEOS.

Qualifications

His experience relate to atmospherical correction of oceans color sensor images as PARASOL, ENVISAT/MERIS or the coming geostationary sensor COMS/GOCI. At HYGEOS, he's in charge of the spatial oceanographic applications.
